As a publicly endowed foundation, the ZKM is an internationally operative, non-commercial culture institution. Beyond its function as museum, the institute’s self-understanding is that of a culture factory of the digital age, uniting under one roof research and production, exhibitions and events, mediation and documentation.

With more than 1000 members, the Hightech.Business.Network. CyberForum is one of the largest and most successful regional business networks in Germany.
